FEI Conference to Address Future of Financial Reporting Issues
- Must-Attend Event Will Feature Updates from FASB, SEC, IASB Leaders -

FLORHAM PARK, N.J., Oct. 13 /PRNewswire/ -- Financial Executives International, the association of choice for CFOs and other senior-level finance executives, will be hosting the 28th annual Current Financial Reporting Issues Conference (CFRI) on November 16-17 at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York City. This must-attend event draws together hundreds of senior finance professionals, leading experts and regulators for two days of in-depth discussion and insight on the most relevant issues facing financial executives today. The event will feature keynote remarks from Kathleen L. Casey, Commissioner, U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and Ron Insana, Senior Analyst, CNBC.

  • The Challenges of Financial Reporting in Today's Environment: Key stakeholders will review best practice considerations in utilizing professional judgment in navigating through the accounting and reporting challenges of these unprecedented times.

Attendees can also take part in sessions to address topics such as the Future of Financial Statement Presentation, Implementation Issues Surrounding Accounting for Business Combinations, Revenue Recognition, Fair Value and eXtensible Business Reporting Language (XBRL).

In addition to CFRI, FEI will host the 4th annual Hall of Fame Gala, which recognizes individuals who epitomize the performance, leadership and integrity of the most exemplary financial executives throughout their careers, on November 16 at the New York Palace in Manhattan. This year's gala will honor 2009 Hall of Fame inductees Dennis D. Dammerman, former vice chairman of the board and executive officer of General Electric Company, and Donald T.
